Cornhusker Boys' State

Civics in Action

American Legion Post 353 is accepting applications from Louisville juniors in high school to attend this summer's Cornhusker Boys' State session.  This one-week, immersive program teaches leadership skills in a government setting.  Participants will set up their own community, county and state governments and court systems and learn how Nebraska government works by doing those Nebraska government jobs.

This program gives young men heading into their senior year of high school tools to take into their college and professional lives that cannot be emulated anywhere else.

For more information on the program, please visit https://cornhuskerboysstate.org/home/

For an application to be considered for this exciting and unique opportunity, please visit the Louisville Public High School guidance counselor.  Applications can be downloaded here.

Open to boys and girls entering their senior year of high school, the application can be downloaded here.  The 2020 brochure can be downloaded here.  More information is available here and at the Louisville High School guidance office.

Application deadline is March 1, 2020.
